These store-level problems are the serious ones. A rejected product costs you that product; a suspension for misrepresentation costs you the whole account, and it arrives without warning.
What the policy actually says
«Return and refund policy that is unclear, missing, or not easily discoverable»
Official policy · quoted word for word, checked
against the source on 2026-09-20.
This one blocks the product, or the whole account.
How to fix it in Shopify
In Shopify: Settings, then Policies, then Refund policy.
Make sure it is linked from the footer of every page, not buried inside checkout.
Google does not require you to accept returns. It requires the policy to be clear and easy to find.
Check your whole store for this
Doing this by hand for one product is easy. Doing it for every product, and for the
store-level rules that suspend accounts, is not. Type your store address and see where you
stand, with the policy quoted next to each finding.
We only read what your store already publishes to any visitor.
No access, no passwords, nothing about your customers.
